A town in Wisconsin passed a law that would do so, the first of its kind in the US. ● Last week the Democrat-led Senate education committee passed a bill that re-writes NCLB. This week the Republican-led House committee did the same. Yes, they have completely different notions of the federal government’s role in US schools. ● After weeks of public pressure, Sec. of Education Arne Duncan extended the deadline for the implementing controversial teacher evaluation systems based on student test scores.
